Purified Coming to Holy Name Church in Steamboat Springs
A family-based event that invites parents as well as teens to learn about God’s plan for love. It combines Jason Evert’s presentation on chastity for the family, with a time of prayer, adoration, and the sacrament of reconciliation for everyone. We will also be distributing free resources to every attendee so that every member of the family can take items home to help them live out this lifestyle.
The innocence of every member of the family is under attack like never before:
- Young men and women in every parish and Catholic school are not only consuming pornography at pandemic levels, but they’re also becoming the pornography on their cell phones.
- For the first time in American history, the majority of US citizens are single. Not only do they feel unprepared for marriage, they no longer see its value.
- Globally, more than one million people contract a sexually transmitted disease every day!
- Even within the Church, there seems to be an unprecedented level of scandal and confusion.
Families are looking for answers. Parents are the primary sex educators, but very few of them have been shown how to effectively bring the message of chastity to their teens, or how to live out the virtue within their marriages. This is why the Chastity Project has launched a new initiative called “Purified.” It’s a family-based event that invites parents as well as teens to learn about God’s plan for human sexuality. It combines an expert chastity presentation by Jason, with a time of prayer, adoration, and the sacrament of reconciliation for the whole family. We will also be distributing free resources to every attendee so that every member of the family can take items home to help them live out this lifestyle.
